Oxford Operatic Society return with their stunning adaptation of the classic 42nd Street. This quintessential backstage musical traces the story of a new Broadway musical comedy, from casting call to opening night. Chorus girl Peggy Sawyer arrives in New York with dreams of becoming a star. Meanwhile, esteemed director Julian Marsh is determined to produce a hit show after recent failures, but when the star breaks her ankle, all eyes turn to Peggy to save the day. Featuring spectacular songs including “Lullaby of Broadway”, “We're In The Money” and of course the title song, 42nd Street is a show that will thrill audiences from start to finish.
